![]() ![]() On easy-going days, I’ll do this and my normal brow routine and I’m out the door. I’m left with a no-makeup makeup look that’s fresh faced and on trend. It’s cute, but you could get the same effect with an affordable alternative like the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I’m using the beautyblender micro.mini that I got in my stocking this year. I focus on the edges of the concealed areas so that my skin and the concealer are indistinguishable. I finish up with a sponge to get that smooth skin finish. I start the blending process by tapping the product into the skin. ![]() I place dots of concealer on the areas that need it, like dark spots, redness, small blemishes and under my eyes. I start off by applying a light primer to help the application process. It’s creamy and easy to blend, and the Light/Medium shade looks seamless against my yellow-undertoned skin- making it perfect for my light-makeup days. I would suggest exfoliating prior to application, since it has a slight powder finish that could highlight dry areas. Plus, it layers well if you need a little more help in certain areas. In my opinion, the formula isn’t thick enough to be full coverage, but it still does a great job at covering any dark spots and under-eye circles. The squeeze tube tip is thin, making it easy to control how much you dispense. Available in five shades, it’s designed to cover blemishes and dark circles with a full-coverage formula while still being lightweight. ![]() The Master Conceal Camouflaging Concealer is one of Maybelline’s newest Spring 2015 releases. Instead of putting on a full face of foundation, I’ve been using the brand new Maybelline Master Conceal Camouflaging Concealer to spot correct any unevenness, leaving most of my face bare. Lately, I’m taking advantage of the clear canvas to give my skin a breather from heavy makeup a few days out of the week. Between my prescription from Curology, and my go-to winter skin care products, I haven’t had too many problem areas (knock on wood). Yellow is fab for diffusing dark circles but not everyone has dark circles and some folks are seeing to conceal puffiness, finer lines, but not necessarily dark circles and there’s also the fact that yellow just might not suit your skin tone.I’m lucky enough to say that over the past few months, my skin has been clearing up nicely. I find Visible Lift Blur is a little nicer on my drier eyes! But I will say this is a very nice concealer but it does have some limitations one of which is the fact that it has such a yellow undertone. Maybelline Master Conceal Camouflaging Concealer likely won’t take the place of Visible Lift Blur. I can get about six hours of wear before seeing some fading and when set with powder I can get about eight hours! This formula wears well for me without creasing. I tried light, light medium, and medium (which looked dark in the tube but was lighter when applied) and all the shades ran pretty light in my opinion so you might want to go a choose a shade up when purchasing. Just keep in mind the shades run pretty light. I purchased three different shades and all the shades have a very strong yellow undertone so if you have dark circles this is going to be a very good remedy for blurring their appearance and brightening up your eyes. I find the texture isn’t terribly moist but it isn’t dry either and blends out smoothly. Maybelline Master Conceal Camouflaging Concealer Swatches (Light, Light Medium, and Medium)Īs I mentioned above Maybelline Master Conceal Camouflaging Concealer isn’t as moist as Visible Lift Blur Concealer it is however, nicely textured in its own right! This is a light to almost medium coverage concealer with a creamy texture that blends easily under my drier eyes and conceals puffiness, lighter dark circles, and finer lines easily. This isn’t to say that Maybelline Master Conceal Camouflaging Concealer is as moist (it isn’t sadly), it is to say that concealer is evolving at the drugstore and both Maybelline and L’Oreal are doing a great job of making me WANT to buy my concealer at the drugstore. Just this past Summer, L’Oreal Visible Lift Blur Concealer completely blew the drugstore concealer world out of the water by introducing a moist, gorgeously textured concealer. They are either too sheer, too dry, too cakey, or too prone to creasing in my experience. Drugstore concealers, in my opinion, have almost always been way too dry for me! It’s very difficult for me to find a concealer at the drugstore that doesn’t creep and crawl into my finer liners. Maybelline Master Conceal Camouflaging Concealer is a medium coverage concealer with a VERY nice formula. You know I’m a total concealer junkie so I HAD to purchase Maybelline Master Conceal Camouflaging Concealer and give it a whirl! Maybelline Master Conceal Camouflaging Concealer is a new Maybelline Spring 2015 launch by Facestudio that’s available in five shade selections.
